Xi Jinping has been appointed China’s leader for the third time. Xi Jinping is currently the secretary general of the ruling Communist Party and commander-in-chief of the armed forces in addition to the Chinese president.

He was officially confirmed as the party’s leader for a third consecutive term on Sunday and will announce his new team. In 2018, he ended a two-term restriction on the presidency in China, paving the way for him to remain in power indefinitely.
